From the Inside Looking Out
Aidan Shrowder
From the inside looking out
The two way mirrorIt's diffrent; this end
To me it's clearer
They smile and stand amazed
Painted in the glass; the portrait
A graven image of lies
They look to their false prophet
Painted in the glass; the portrait
A graven image of lies
They look to their false prophet
But I know what lies within
Behind the cloudy pane
I know how it needs to be washed
With a forgiving, heavenly rain
Behind the cloudy pane
I know how it needs to be washed
With a forgiving, heavenly rain
From the inside looking out
I stand eqaully drawn
to the show on the oppiste side
To the wake of "their" dawn
I stand eqaully drawn
to the show on the oppiste side
To the wake of "their" dawn
Could it be that
they're the same
that they are hiding too
Only behind a different frame
Please, don't be crazy
Please, stay sane
We can't all possibly be fake
Surely thats not what nature maintained
Or am I right
Have I shattered the glass
My thoughts are solemn and cold
Like a prayer at midnight mass
