Aidan Shrowder
Tonight I saw something new
This I imagine happens to few
I watched, as in a trance:
I saw your future in a glance.
It hit me like a brick wall
I begun to feel, just so, small
When I got home I began to cry
Even so hard, to stop, I try.
"That's not my vision
Why'd you choose that decision!"
So perfect as him and her
Can't you smell life's sweet myrrh?
But this, this future, not mine to decide
Nor are my rules by that which you abide
Alas, above all forget not this;
The touch of love's true fiery bliss.
For their are many paths to follow,
And almost as many lead to sorrow
I hope for you, every day
That I will never hear you say:
"I wish I'd changed my walk
When you gave me your talk,
The night of your insighting trance:
The night you saw my future in a glance."
